Here, in our academy, you will be instructed by Professor Marcos Maroccolo and his team of highly skilled, specially selected experienced BJJ coaches. Professor Marcos is a Black Belt in both Brazilian Jui-Jitsu (BJJ) and Judo and has over 20 years experience in teaching students of all ages and skill levels; from 4 year old children to senior adults, both experienced and unexperienced. Professor Marcos’ diverse skillset has seen him teach BJJ in Australian schools and to airline staff, security personnel and law enforcement in Spain, Germany, Italy, USA, Brazil and Australia making him an exceptionally well rounded BJJ Professor.
The Maroccolo Academy was founded in Brasilia, Brasil at the beginning of 2005 by Marcos Maroccolo and re-opened in Kyneton, Victoria in 2014. Over the years in Australia, Professor Marcos has hand selected and nurtured the team of highly skilled coaches at Maroccolo Academy to achieve the unique Maroccolo style of excellence in every class; the very excellence that the Academy is widely renowned for and that which makes it a world class BJJ school.
All classes at the Maroccolo Academy follow a well designed and established methodology. The methodology is centered around respect, inclusion, well-being and performance. We have a selection of training programs to accommodate the needs of each student; children 4-12 years, teens, adult beginners and experienced adults, including competitors.
